ABOUT MY TRIP:
Qs: What did this GMB trip in Nicaragua meant or do for you? This GMB trip in Nicaragua reminded me the reasons that I am pursuing a career in the medical field. In the clinic, I was able to develop a doctor-patient relationship despite the language barrier. It was inspiring to hear their stories of where they travelled from and what hardships that each individual had been through. Many of them waited in lines to see the doctors for hours without a single complaint. Their appreciation was genuine. GMB Nicaragua has allowed me to experience health care in another country and continues to attribute to my drive and motivation to become a physician in order to provide healthcare to all places around the globe. What was your favorite or funniest moment that you can highlight? My favorite moment in Nicaragua was seeing all of the kids. Even though many of them did not have what we consider basic necessities, they still were playing and enjoying their time.
