ABOUT MY TRIP:
"This trip was an opportunity for me to help people that normally do not have access to health care. Working in a rural area allowed me to provide for those less fortunate, while at the same time giving me insight into what "underserved" truly means. Our Global Medical Brigades trip to Nicaragua is one I will never forget, and has helped change the way I look at medicine and serving others."
"My favorite moment of the trip was the last day before we left where we were able to explore the country. We were taken to a waterfall which was amazing and provided much needed relaxation after a long week of clinic and construction. Some students went swimming in the waterfall while others relaxed on the wooden deck. We than had time to eat in the town of jinotega and go shopping before capping the day off with a fiesta at night. The entire trip was a great experience, and the final day made it even more special."
